在目前全球新興市場中，除了最為火熱的中國外，國土橫跨歐亞兩洲的俄羅斯也是歐美等汽車產業先進國家車廠急於佈局的市場之一，畢竟越早進入站好地盤，等到其經濟實力開始起飛後，便能佔有更多的優勢；而HONDA為了增加旗下車款在俄羅斯的銷售力道，將在俄羅斯當地建造旗下第一座組裝廠。
根據俄羅斯當地媒體的披露，HONDA的第一座組裝廠將設置在俄羅斯Primorye的濱海遠東地區，這座新工廠的產能預計擁有3萬到5萬輛的年產量，而HONDA預計與俄羅斯政府達成協議，生產作業將以年產量2.5萬輛的舊車輛組裝廠準則為基礎。
而俄羅斯當地的產業分析師認為，相較於其他競爭對手，如FORD與TOYOTA，早已進入當地座設廠的動作，HONDA的腳步已經是慢了不少，以致於今年在面對俄羅斯當地大量的車輛需求時，HONDA旗下車款在當地市場的銷售量有下滑的趨勢。而目前HONDA在俄羅斯的年銷量每年平均在2萬輛以下。
雖然HONDA原廠方面尚未透漏任何有關於俄羅斯組裝廠的投資規模，不過相信以俄羅斯市場的整體熱度來看，HONDA在此時進入仍不算太晚，在未來應該還有相當大可成長的空間。
