力圖振作，HONDA增資8千4百萬美元投入北美工廠整修

北美HONDA近日對外宣布，將追加8400美元的預算投入位於阿拉巴馬的引擎組裝工廠。阿拉巴馬工廠於2001年11月正式啟用，專門生產Odyssey、Pilot、Ridgeline等車款所搭載的V6汽油引擎，自2011年起已連續注入約2.7億的資金。
然而，本次的投資主要是為了歐美高級車品牌Acura旗下即將改款的SUV車款「MDX」作準備，HMA社長表示：本次的投資將創造當地約100名的工作機會，我們也期盼能提供未來新開發的SUV車款更穩定的產能支援，在追求穩定的產能的基本要求下提供顧客更好的品質，希望能夠達到年度產能累計34萬輛的目標。
不久前才宣布新世代CR-V將在本月29號於美國俄亥俄廠區進行量產，不過目前位於泰國的產能線並未完全脫離洪水的影響，這次的增資計畫似乎也意味著HONDA試圖振作的動力，是否能完全擺脫減產的慘況不只取決於泰國的天氣也考驗著HONDA掌舵手的智慧。
