大自然考驗重重，TOYOTA及HONDA泰國工廠遭洪災淹沒導致停擺！

對日本車廠而言，2011年無疑是考驗不斷的艱難一年，經濟因素有日幣匯率升值影響，天災方面除了3月的日本大地震、9月的洛克強颱，如今竟然連海外工廠都避不過天災的侵襲！最近泰國發生數十年來最嚴重的洪災，全國約四分之三的地區遭浸、經濟損失高達50多億美元，影響所及，3座TOYOTA工廠及1座HONDA工廠已宣佈暫時停止生產，產能想必再受打擊。
受熱帶季風影響，泰國今年7月下旬以來持續大範圍降雨，引發了數十年來最嚴重的洪災，至今已持續了兩個多月，不僅全國約四分之三的地區遭浸，洪水更直逼首都曼谷，預計將有超過200萬民眾受災，經濟損失高達50多億美元。其中TOYOTA在泰國東部的工廠雖未受天氣直接影響，但仍因供應商的停擺導致無法繼續生產；而HONDA位於曼谷以北的Ayutthaya工廠可就沒那麼幸運，10月4日宣布停止生產以後，更於10月8日遭到洪災直接侵襲，由於至今仍未脫離困境，HONDA甚至無法造訪當地審視損失情況。
TOYOTA的3座工廠去年產能約為63萬輛，佔全球產量的8%，主要生產車款為Corolla及Camry；HONDA位於Ayutthaya工廠去年則生產了17萬輛汽車，佔全球產量的5%，主要生產車款為Civic及Accord；4座工廠去年總計具有超過80萬輛的產能，倘若持續受到洪災影響，對於產能勢必也將帶來衝擊。只能說今年對於日本車廠而言實在是流年不利，即使為了避免天災再次重創日本、而計畫將產能逐漸移至海外，竟然也難逃大自然的侵襲。
