2013洛杉磯車展報導：綠能典範，HONDA Accord獲頒「Green Car of The Year」殊榮

節能減碳等綠能議題顯然已經成為全球共識，面對這樣的時代洪流以及越趨嚴格的環保法規，各大車廠為展社會責任，不只在比拚哪家所謂的節能技術最受青睞、也最受消費者認同，以至於諸如Hybrid油電混合、EV純電能驅動、Plug-in Hribrid、氫燃料電池等技術應運而生。本報先前就預告過，每年專門評選節能車款的權威媒體Green Car Journal公布了本屆的入圍名單，而最終大獎將在洛杉磯車展進行表揚的消息，隨著車展開幕，答案也即將揭曉。
雖然今年號稱零排放的電動車榜上無名有些令人意外，而且地主美系車廠也被擋在決賽之外，不過入圍最終決賽的車廠也都握有一手好牌，包含AUDI A6 TDI、BMW 328d、HOND Accord、MAZDA Mazda3、TOYOTA Corolla等共計五款車型來角逐最終殊榮，形成德日車廠對決的局面。
經過Green Car Journal的評議之後，最終由HONDA Accord一舉摘下「Green Car of The Year」的桂冠。第九代的Accord於2012年9月發表，當時就靠著全新淬鍊的外型、優異的油耗表現深受期待，不過當中更受注目的莫過於Hybrid科技的應用，以及搭載了Plug-in Hybrid插電式油電複合動力的Accord PHEV車型。
HONDA靠著Accord Hybrid以及Accord PHEV車型深受評審的愛戴，以搭載2.0L直四i-VTEC引擎，搭配出力為166hp電動馬達的Accord Hybrid，在美國EPA規範下有著市區21.15km/L、高速19.04km/L及平均19.88km/L的優異燃油經濟性；以及Accord PHEV，再美國EPA的測試下更是擁有48.89km/L的油耗數據，可說是技壓群雄。
根據Green Car Journal編輯Ron Cogan表示：Accord的魅力在於其價格平易近人、傑出的燃油經濟性，以及優異的CO2排放量都深得人心，Accord車系中也提供四缸及V6引擎動力、混合動力等，提供消費者更多元選擇，同時HONDA近年來也相當致力於發展綠能科技，從Accord車系的編列就能看出端倪。
從2005年起，Green Car Journal每年都會在洛杉磯車展公布「Green Car of The Year」大獎的贏家，隨著高油價時代及環保意識的如日中天，看來未來這場〝綠能之戰〞也成為各大車廠的兵家必爭之地。
