    HONDA FCX Clarity引領INDY 500賽車前進

一群時速超過300km/h的賽車碰到HONDA FCX Clarity,可得乖乖地在後方緩慢行駛,沒辦法,誰較這款高科技環保車擔任「2008 IRL INDY CAR系列第三戰BRIDGESTONE INDY JAPAN 300 Miles」的前導呢?

於2008年在日本茂木Twin Ring雙環賽車場所舉辦的「2008 IRL INDY CAR系列第三戰BRIDGESTONE INDY JAPAN 300 Miles」賽事,不僅HONDA派出Accord擔任Safety Car工作,就連最新科技結晶FCX Clarity燃料電池市售車也將以官方前導車的身分出現於場中,引領18輛參賽車進入賽道。

2007年洛杉磯車展中所推出的市售版FCX Clarity,離正式量產投入市場時間整剩下幾個月,當然HONDA也要藉由各種場合大秀一番。FCX Clarity車重為1625公斤,擁有極為前衛大膽的車輛設計,搭載HONDA V Flow FC全新燃料電池,具有體積小、重量輕、耐寒(-30° C)、續航距離長(430km)、燃料使用效率高(提升20%)等特點,最大輸出功率達到100Kw(136hp),峰值扭力26.1kgm,極速達到160km/h。在行使過程中所產生的動能便能驅使車輛行進,唯一排放物是純水,對於環境完全不會造成任何污染;煞車或減速時所產生的能量,也會透過CMBS(Collision Mitigation Brake System)儲能煞車系統,達成能源使用的最高境界。

性能較FCX概念車更具實用性的FCX Clarity,配備EPS動力方向盤、ACC定速巡航系統等高級配備,代表HONDA已經將燃料電池從概念帶往現實世界,因此可以想見今年於美國販售後將會吸引許多人青睞,而日本方面則在2008-2009年左右投入市場。
