天上的GP也不放過，HONDA再度贊助「2011熱氣球GP大賽」

堪稱熱氣球界GP賽事的「HONDA 熱氣球Grand Prix」，是世界熱氣球相當重要的比賽，身為夢想創始者，HONDA於1989年全力贊助，並協助主辦單位AirB所有經費，因此對熱氣球愛好者與挑戰者來說是一大樂園，因此4月8日開幕的「2011 HONDA熱氣球Grand Prix」，第1站先於4月8日-10日在日本栃木縣藤岡町渡良瀨運動公園舉辦，第五站則是栃木縣宇都宮市茂木Twin Ring賽車場的「國際熱氣球大賽」。
身為主辦單位，HONDA自然也要推出參賽熱氣球，2008年的北極熊塗裝再度登場，也展現HONDA持續關注地球環保的決心。
相信大家對於熱氣球GP的評分方式應該不了解，在此AutoNet汽車日報以最簡單的方式來說明。一般來說並不會做出甩尾這種動作（熱氣球要是甩尾就完了），通常是以上升速度、高度、降落至目的點精確度、方向等計分，在裁判的評斷下給分，分數最高者當然就能勝出。至於熱氣球造型美觀與否，則是趣味性較高的評分項目重點。
雖說HONDA的本業在發動機，但創辦人本田宗一郎的夢想就是要跨領域、替人類創造更便利且富有樂趣的行動力，所以只要以能量驅動的比賽幾乎都看得到HONDA，且更重要的是，AirB組織裡頭有不少人還是從HONDA退休，包括膾炙人口跑車NSX的推手、也是前社長川本信彥！
