    HONDA產能持續外移,投資8億美元於墨西哥新建廠區

在近年來日圓匯率不斷升高,再加上經歷過今年311震災之後,日本車廠產能外移的趨勢愈加明顯,其中HONDA今年上半年在日本的產能僅剩下26.6萬輛,衰退45.7%,全球產能也衰退至27.7的幅度、僅剩下130.3萬輛的水準。其中HONDA在日本當地的銷售量也受到地震的衝擊而大受影響,24.0萬輛的成績較去年同期衰退了有29.2%的幅度。

日前HONDA正式宣佈,將耗資8億美元(約新台幣231億元)於墨西哥Guanajuato州的Celaya新建廠房,佔地約566公頃,預計於2013年完工、2014年開始運作,估計年產能將達到20萬輛,總計將提供3200個工作機會,並與Jalisco州的El Salto廠區相互支援;而這也是HONDA在北美洲地八個廠區,一般預料這個新廠區未來將成為新世代Fit的生產基地,且還可能成為HONDA第一個非日本的Hybrid油電複合動力車款生產廠區,而最可能將產能移至此地的則為CR-Z與Insight。

同時,HONDA也宣佈將擴建目前位於美國印第安那州Greensburg廠區、俄亥俄州Marysville廠區加拿大的Alliston廠區,並進行減少生產廢料的綠能計畫,預計在2014年時、北美洲各廠區的年總產量將達到183萬輛的水準。
