培養在地人才！HONDA提供拉丁美洲學生獎學金與暑期實習計畫

HONDA在俄亥俄州的車廠

自2003年開始，HONDA車廠與HSF獎學金（Hispanic Scholarship Fund），針對在學業上有優異表現且有意進入汽車產業的拉丁美洲學生，提供五萬美元（約台幣115萬）的獎學金以及在HONDA車廠實習的機會；而這次共有八位獲獎學生獲選參與這項暑期實習計畫，涵蓋的領域包括商業、電子、工業工程、機械工程與化學等等。
除了在車廠實習外，這些獲獎學生還能夠到HONDA在美國俄亥俄州的車廠與R&D中心進行參訪，並且和HONDA的執行長進行對話，進一步瞭解汽車產業的現況與前景；而要獲得進入HONDA的機會，這些學生除了要在自己的主修領域保持好成績之外，還要展現出對汽車產業的瞭解以及熱情，才有機會獲選。
其實HONDA的這項獎學金與實習活動，除了提供清寒學生一個機會減輕沉重的經濟壓力，重點還是在於提早發掘優秀人才，同時建立自己的品牌形象，也可能是為未來進一步進軍拉丁美洲鋪路，增加當地民眾對HONDA品牌的認同；事實上不只HONDA積極培養人才，TOYOTA在80-90年代也曾經送員工到歐洲去帶薪進修，而這種對員工的投資與培養，讓除了增強員工的個人技能之外，也讓員工對公司的忠誠度更高，在現代許多人視換工作如換衣服的大環境下，或許也可作為挽留員工的一種柔性方式吧。
