HONDA在美西發表新一代太陽能製氫充氣站。

面對TOYOTA在環保車款領域的大鳴大放，同樣身為日本車廠的HONDA也以油電複合動力技術，結合自身品牌所擁有的駕駛樂趣、引擎開發技術等基礎，推出Insight、CR-Z等環保車型，甚至連Fit也衍生出Fit Hybrid與純電動Fit EV(2012年推出)等動作，最終目標更直指推出氫燃油電池車款。

HONDA的Hybrid策略是透過獨創的IMA混合動力系統（Integrated Motor Assist），搭配此動力系統體積小、重量輕、運作效率高等優勢，大量使用以擴展HONDA的Hybrid車系陣容。此外，讓使用氫氣為燃料的氫燃料車款可以實現人類創造零排污環保交通工具的遠大目標，不僅為了地球與大地萬物的未來，更因為日趨嚴重的地球暖化問題，解決刻不容緩。。

為了進一步呼應節能減碳議題，HONDA近日更提出2020年旗下車款減少二氧化碳排放達到30％之目標，以及Blue Skies for Our Children(給我們的孩子藍天)之全球環境口號，在此藍天更可解釋為乾淨的空氣。

HONDA在2006年便曾經提出減碳計畫，努力至2010年便達到與2000年相較減碳10%之目標，而上述HONDA所提出的減碳30％目標，同樣是相較於2000年而言，範圍更將擴及車款之外的零配件供應鍊等相關產業。

基於這些口號與目標，HONDA期許成為環保與能源科技領域之先驅，改善環境，提高燃料使用效率，並且努力提供新的環保車款，讓更多人可以購買HONDA環保汽車、機車，更推出飛上藍天的噴射客機，提供社會與消費者能夠享有駕駛樂趣與無使用負擔的交通工具。
