零掩埋目標成真，美國HONDA達成「綠色工廠」環保創舉

為了減少資源浪費與造車所需的原物料成本，同時也能夠達到環保之效果，車廠以設立零件廢物料處理場（廢除垃圾掩埋場），讓這些廢物料或垃圾可以進行回收與再製造。而HONDA近日宣佈在北美達成「綠色工廠」之環保創舉，也就是零造車產生垃圾掩埋之目標。
在HONDA擁有的14個美國車輛裝配廠當中，共有10個廠區能夠讓這些廢物料或垃圾被處理，進行回收再製工程，達到零廢棄物囤積。另外4個廠區，更近乎達到完全零廢棄物推放的表現。
第1個達到零造車產生垃圾掩埋目標的是美國HONDA阿拉巴馬廠，透過零件廢物料回收，讓真正的垃圾產量相對減少，甚至可以讓零件廢物料能夠被轉換為能源，能夠讓物料一再被利用。而這些零件廢物料包括金屬、木材、紙板、塑膠等，更可以透過材料回收進一步減少二氧化碳排放，隨著更多的零件廢物料處理場廢除，還會向上攀升。
再多的自然資源也會有用盡的一天，就像是石化燃料的開採與挖掘，引發人類為爭奪自然資源產生紛爭一般，而透過車廠的努力，讓使用量相當龐大資源能夠透過零件廢物料處理再度被利用，不僅讓車廠得利，也可讓環境獲得喘息之空間。
