獨家！HONDA S2000後繼車確定，就是四年前概念車Daulnote進化版

2001年東京車展中，HONDA推出一款名為Daulnote的概念車，許多人以為這就是下一代NSX，結果根據AutoNet所掌握到的消息，其實新S2000將以這款車為雛形。
目前開發代號XGA的HONDA新世代跑車，基本上就是下一代S2000，雖然離正式量產還有三年時間，但原廠開發部門早就已經忙得如火如荼。基於MAZDA RX-8採用四門對向開啟與四座的設計模式大獲好評，HONDA也就順應市場潮流賦予下一代S2000這種特性。
基本上下一代S2000的車身尺寸差不多定案，約在4500×1850×1250mm左右，車重期望被抑制在1300公斤以內；動力上可能採用2.0升自然進氣引擎加上Hybrid系統的搭配，預估最大功率輸出約為240hp/23.5kgm，油耗表現可媲美1.6-1.8升車款，更勝過Integra Type R。當然也有一說將使用1.8升的引擎，但仍未經證實。
此外，既然使用Hybrid，若加上相當成熟的SH-AWD的四輪驅動模式，可能就會成為下一代S2000的驅動模式；關於這點，原廠工程部門仍在評估可行性。
由於這幾年來傳種跑車市場式微，也因此HONDA 才會採用便利取向卻不失操駕樂趣的設計模式，將下一代S2000設計成四門四座的型態。
