環保問題，幾乎是每個產業在21世紀所追求，但誰能真正落實，放眼望去好像屈指可數，尤其當石油仍為首要能源之際，所有人都必須倚賴黑金的幫助。

以發動機起家的HONDA，只要是與動能有關的幾乎全都包，如今又確定在日本鈴鹿廠（鈴鹿製作所），和熊本廠加裝太陽能供電系統，以提供更多的電力需求。

目前HONDA在全世界共有15個相關企業，採用自家開發製造的太陽能面板，然而在日本當地的廠房，卻仍未裝設此系統，因此原廠決定從今年秋季起，先在鈴鹿廠採用太陽能面板，同時也將之量產化進行銷售；2007年則針對熊本廠進行擴建工程，預估一年可產生27.5Mkw的動能，並在同廠進行大量生產事宜。

眾車廠拼命發展省油結能車，一方面喊著要節省地球資源，但真正落實的卻沒有幾家，尤其在燃料電池的製造與氫燃料加壓過程中，所排放的污染遠大於傳統氣柴油引擎，因此HONDA這次率先採用太陽能發電，倒是能讓所有車廠借鏡。
