環保從內做起─HONDA發展生質皮革！

隨著環境污染與資源短缺等問題日益嚴重，即使汽車大量採用可回收材質，早已行之有年，不過就算是可回收再利用材質，也不一定完全不會有汙染，為此極具研發能的HONDA，發展出了最新的生質皮革與織品，將逐漸取代以石油提煉的人造皮革！

HONDA所研發的生質皮革，是以玉米為原料，經過化學提煉為生化纖維後，再生成車輛所使用的皮革與織品。

HONDA使用植物提煉纖維的理念很簡單，就是當回收的車輛廢氣物燃燒時，所產生的CO2，為植物所吸收，HONDA再以成長完成的植物提煉纖維，達到資源循環，生生不息的優點。

此外，在提煉生質纖維時，所產需要的能源也比石油提煉時，低約10~15%，且回收燒毀時，每車份的織品將可減少5公斤的CO2排放，有效增進環保。

至於這種生質纖維製品，預計於2009年率先運用於全新的燃料電池車種上！
