相信有去參觀2014年台北國際新車大展的這朋友們，對於在HONDA展區展現跳舞、端茶並與Show Girl與觀眾們進行可愛互動的ASIMO印象仍舊相當深刻。在我們先前的介紹中也曾提過，ASIMO自發表以來也在HONDA的不斷研發之下，一步步進化成現在的模樣。而在即將來臨的2014年紐約車展當中，HONDA除了展車之外，更有意讓最新版本的ASIMO在紐約進行全球首演。

雖然目前HONDA原廠釋出的訊息不多，但根據目前我們所掌握的資訊顯示，最新版本ASIMO又多了更多的功能，其中最受矚目的就是能夠比日本手語以及美國手語，並且具有更快的跑步速度、爬樓梯的動作更加順暢，另外還能夠做出跳、金雞獨立等動作；而在跑步跟走路之間也能夠無縫進行切換。

HONDA以幫助人類為宗旨所設計出的ASIMO，名字來源於Advanced（新紀元）、Step in（進入）、Innovative（創新）、Mobility（移動工具）的首字母縮寫，承襲了HONDA對「移動文化」的追求與執著。ASIMO的研發成功，不僅是HONDA先進與挑戰的科技表現，更展現了HONDA追求夢想、實現夢想的動力。

ASIMO的誕生除了代表了HONDA在汽、機車以及引擎科技之外，更進一步投注在「追求夢想」、「實現挑戰」的高科技人型機器人領域，讓機器人得以早日應用在家庭與生活等實用面，這也是呼應HONDA「The Power Of Dreams」品牌精神的最佳印證。在今年的紐約車展上，最新版本的ASIMO會有什麼令人驚艷的表現，就讓我們拭目以待吧！
