持續耕耘賽車領域，HONDA Performance Development推出全新ARX-04b LMP2賽車

若要說最具賽車基因的日系品牌，相信多數車迷最先想到的會是HONDA，它不但是第一個進軍F1賽事且拿下分站冠軍的日系品牌，時至今日在全球無論二輪或四輪賽事，都看得到HONDA的賽車。而近日，HONDA Performance Development（簡稱HPD）則是推出了全新的ARX-04b LMP2賽車，預計在2015年提供給私人車隊參予各項耐力賽事。
值得一提的是，全新ARX-04b LMP2乃是第一款由HPD所開發的有頂式原型賽車，另外也找上來自英國的Wirth Research聯手；ARX-04b LMP2完全按照ACO LMP2的規範進行打造，採用了2.8L HR28TT V6引擎搭配雙渦輪增壓、燃油直噴技術，雖然原廠沒有公布詳細數據，但LMP2賽車的實力絕對不容小覷。
為了進一步克服渦輪延遲的現象，HPD為ARX-04b LMP2導入了線傳式油門以及全新的氣門系統，藉此提高整體動力系統的性能與可靠度。此外，為了在車發生碰撞意外能夠快速的回道賽事，HPD更在車身前後導入了快速更換的功能。而在安全性方面，則是配備加油安全系統，讓車輛進站進行加油動作時能夠更安全。
HPD ARX-04b LMP2將會提供給私人車隊，在明年包括IMSA、WEC、ELMS以及亞洲Le Mans等國際大型耐力賽當中出賽。
