GOOD DESIGN EXPO 2009開跑，HONDA Insight、TOYOTA Prius兩強相爭

堪稱東方設計界奧斯卡的日本GOOD DESIGN，在經過評審委員兩次評選並於正式頒獎之前，主辦單位將參選的2000多件作品藉由東京國際展示場Big Sight會場展現給民眾，其中TOYOTA Prius與HONDA Insight備受各界矚目，因為大家都在看到底誰會勝出。

於東京國際展示場Big Sight所舉辦的GOOD DESIGN EXPO 2009，是為了讓民眾欣賞作品、和頂尖設計師面對面的最好時機，因為所有參加GOOD DESIGN 2009的作品都齊聚一堂，無論是量産Hybrid乘用車TOYOTA Prius、HONDA Insight，或者是NAGANO折疊腳踏車、三洋電機Eneloop電動Hybrid腳踏車、PANASONIC CYCLETECH電動輔助腳踏車等交通工具，都在此現身。
不過競爭激烈的HONDA與TOYOTA為了推廣自家的Hybrid，還於會場中舉辦座談會，TOYOTA派出設計本部設計師三輪日出雄主講「Air Management， New Prius」，HONDA則是本田技術研究所二輪R&D中心西本晃彦，及泛用R&D中心東功兩人，針對「HONDA Design-Clean×Compact」為主題，讓民眾更瞭解自家的功力。
而HONDA和TOYOTA之所以同時舉行座談會，主要是Insight與Prius的同質性很高，又是市場競爭對手，雖然銷售成績都很傲人，但誰也不想讓對方出頭天，看來HONDA和TOYOTA之的的角力，不是僅在Hybrid車銷售，就連設計展覽也要互別苗頭。
