    日本名車系列(23)-HONDA 1300

雖然HONDA在1963年以S500踏入四輪領域,並於1967年推出N360,但真正晉升為真正乘用車的產品,非1969年誕生的1300莫屬,無論在尺碼、動力上,若1300沒有奠定根基,那就沒有今天的HONDA了。

在一片以前置引擎後輪驅動為主流的汽車市場,HONDA卻反其道而行,改以前輪驅動為產品特性,這也奠定HONDA接下來的造車工藝,3885×1465×1345mm的HONDA 1300就是前鋒。1969年HONDA 1300誕生,初期僅有四門型態,然而不受消費市場認同遂於1970年追加雙門型態,四門車型逐漸退出產品線。

77系列的大膽的方形頭燈設計,與當時流行的四圓燈截然不同,光這點也可看出HONDA的堅持與決心,大型雙獨立水箱護罩、砲彈型後視鏡、掀背流線的身影,讓HONDA 1300 77系列獲得年輕人的喜愛。

而動力上,則採用HONDA最擅長的高轉速調校技術,1298cc空冷直四SOHC引擎,並加諸更複雜的強制空冷技術,讓引擎運轉更有效率,因此獲得100hp/7200rpm的馬力與10.95kgm/4500rpm扭力,在四速手排的幫助下,車重885公斤的HONDA 1300具有175km/h的極速實力。

同時,HONDA 1300也推出99 S系列,與99系列最大差異,在於使用圓燈設計,其他結構與配備完全相同,不過動力心臟經調校後,功率輸出達115hp/12.05kgm,因此能有185km/h的極速。不過77系列僅在市場上一年就消失。

1974年HONDA 1300全面停產,因為新車型Civic的問世取代了既有地位,而HONDA 1300在原廠的階段性任務也完成。如果沒有HONDA 1300,今天的本田技研可能在汽車領域就沒有傲人成就。
