    日本名車系列(149)-HONDA Concerto(1988-1992)

1980年代日本HONDA與英國ROVER集團曾是親密戦友,並在1986年時推出以Legend為基礎的ROVER 800,隨後又以Civic為藍本在1989年創造出ROVER 200,而早ROVER 200一年在日本上市的則是HONDA Concerto,這款稱為XY計畫的房車共有四門及五門兩種造型,在日本僅生產一代就結束,並將棒子交給後繼的Domani。

車型上共有四門和五門兩種的Concerto,是介於Civic與Accord之間的作品,也是流有英國ROVER血統的混血車,底盤平台與第四代Civic及第二代Integra共用,但軸距拉長至2550mm後分別創造出4415×1690×1415mm、4270×1690×1395mm的車身尺碼,以四門來說較Civic長了185mm,增加的部分讓Concerto的行李廂容量加大,提供更好的置物空間。內裝鋪陳上Concerto與Civic非常神似,不過在部分木紋飾板的裝飾下顯得更高級,以頂級來說,擁有恆溫空調、電動駕駛座椅、腰靠調整、四支揚聲器音響、電動天線、Keyless系統等,甚至在四門版上還可選擇真皮座椅,因此在定位上要比Civic更高一級。

引擎編成上分為歐規與日規兩種,歐規版共有1.4L SOHC 88hp、1.5L SOHC 90hp、1.6L SOHC 115hp、1.6L DOHC 130hp、1.6L DOHC 106hp等汽油引擎和一具1.8L TD柴油引擎(來自PEUGEOT,僅在法國、義大利與葡萄牙銷售),日規版則有1.5L SOHC 91hp、1.6L SOHC 105hp、1.6L SOHC 120hp、1.6L DOHC 130hp、1.6L DOHC 135hp等汽油心臟,兩種規格均提供五速手排與四速自排讓消費者選擇,驅動模式上則有FF前驅與4WD四輪驅動兩種,依照車型和引擎差異有所不同。

而英國製造和日本製造的Concerto最大差異,就在於前懸吊避震系統,日規版採用HONDA最引以為傲的雙A臂結構,但英國方面卻使用麥弗遜結構,而後懸吊兩方面都採用雙A臂,因此在駕馭操控上有所不同,當然這也是因應國情和路況所做的調整。

雖然Concerto日規版在1992年由Domani取代而停產,但歐規英國廠仍繼續生產,直到1994年被BMW買下後才逐漸消失。
