    日本名車系列(36)-HONDA Prelude

雖然1970年代HONDA以Civic和Accord打下世界車的基礎,然而在性能車方面,卻一直未有屬於個人用車的產品,直到1978年問世的Prelude,方打破這種格局,並在跑車化時代大放異彩。

為了展現純種跑車的製造功力,HONDA在1978年11月推出Prelude雙門跑車,雖然外型設計與Civic、Accord非常神似,卻也在罕見且高檔的電動天窗加持下,變得更具風味,而長頭短尾的身影,更刻畫出4090×1635×1290mm尺碼的精鍊。所以在產品定位中,Prelude是介於Civic與Accord的中間份子。

就配備來看,Prelude擁有當時相當前衛且高級的行頭,諸如電動天窗、動力方向盤、液晶速度顯示表與米色內裝,頂級車款還配置皮革座椅,因此對日本民眾而言,Prelude等同於日本汽車經典之作,而其同心圓儀表,在問世之際還造成話題。而2320mm的軸距,形成2+2的座椅,這也變成日後的傳統,不過卻也讓迴轉半徑達五公尺。

動力上與Accord共用一具直四SOHC 1.8升CVCC單化油器引擎,1750cc排氣量可輸出90hp/5300rpm馬力與13.5kgm/3000rpm扭力,並搭配五速手排變速系統,在前輪驅動模式下,極速僅為160km/h。此外,原廠也提供兩速自排變速系統,但馬力輸出向下調降為85hp。底盤結構由於源自Accord,故前為麥弗遜、後拖曳臂懸吊設計。

1979年10月,推出評價版的T級距,同時兩速自排修正為三速附OD檔功能,1980年一月更採用電動玻璃天窗,同年五月改良CVCC系統,功率輸出提升至97hp/14.3kgm。

1982年進行全面大改款,從此Prelude成為年輕族群心目中的帥氣跑車。
