    日本名車系列(61)-HONDA Vigor

在70年代HONDA雖然有著Accord撐腰,但產品陣容依舊缺乏中型級距房車,因此原廠藉由第二代Accord的上市,也推出一款名為Vigor房車,地位當然是在Accord之上。

以英文「活力」為車名的Vigor首度於1981年問世,與第二代Accord之間的關係非常密切,除了因保險桿造型造成車身尺寸有差異外,共用2450mm軸距的底盤,進而衍生出較Accord高一級的房車。除了身材為4455×1665×1375mm的Vigor四門房車,還有當時所流行的雙門掀背版,尺寸向下修正後為4255×1665×1355mm,由於水箱護罩、頭燈組、前後保險桿均與Accord有點不同,因此散發出更為成熟洗鍊的風格。

內裝鋪陳則完全和Accord相同,方正的中控台佈局,四輻式方向盤、絨布或皮革座椅,甚至電動窗都成為標準配備,這也看得出HONDA有意朝豪華路線的決心;而拜不算短的軸距所賜,倒也能容納五名成人乘坐。

基於70年代HONDA將CVCC列為動力新武器,Vigor當然也擁有這項科技,初期共有直四SOHC 12氣門1.6(90hp)與1.8升(110hp)兩具引擎,其中1.8升具備CVCC-II,除了五速手排變速系統外還能選擇三速自排。1982年11月更追加四速手排,1983年則進行小改款,將後視鏡從前葉子板移到側窗旁邊。此外,1984年增加一款新技術引擎-PGM-FI電子噴射,1.8升引擎的輸出功率旋即增為130hp/17.0kgm。

由於Vigor在日本市場創下不錯的口碑,所以藉由Accord於1985年大改款之際,Vigor也進入第二代。
